A Life in Black and White

am not your usual lady in the neighbourhood. i could be fun-loving and ambitions blazing, yet chilling with a good book in hand. loves audrey hepburn movies, lemon-lime-&-bitters, vintage anything and furniture. am not one effortlessly impressed. i see my goals, my dreams and the enjoyment would lie not merely in the success at the end of the road but in this journey of life. livin` it, lovin` it, keepin` it real. i travel alone, i travel light, in my 20`s - la vie est belle!

now, where were we?

It's amazing where a 3-week, or rather close to a month's, break can take anyone...In this time, I've managed to catch up with so many more old friends than I thought I ever could. Also, I've accomplished so much more than I thought I would...I'm not complaining now...Coz I'm way satisfied!

Really nice to see where life's taken all of us. ALMOST a quarter of a century now for most of us huh. Haha...Many of us now independent working professionals in the corporate world scattered around different parts of the globe. Others still acquiring knowledge and further studies...It's only today when a dear friend commented, "now where's that JC gal we all knew?..." that it hit me, how much we've all achieved in these 20-odd years...all of us true blue members of society...some are married, others in serious relationships, and of course many still bidding their time...haha! where art the good old days of frivolous dates? Scandalous! *wink* And, reading through the many months I'd missed with so many old friends, it just brings smiles to my face, as well as the occasional giggle and uncontrolled burst of laughter :) I guess that's the best bit about it all. The best part in relation to friendships and beyond. The undescribeably amazing bond that only the 2 involved can appreciate. This is what means the most to me. There's really no actual need in having to talk everyday, exchanging whimsical words which are simply superficial. Truly, it's in the quality and not the quantity. In trying moments, that's when we will all see our treasured ones being there, wherever they may be, be it a phonecall, an email, I'm sure all you guys will agree, it's heart-warming :) Additionally, it's been shown and proven time and again *myself included* that it, like everything else, is not that all impossible. That despite all that distance, all that missed time, you can still feel so close to someone, and possibly even closer than some whom you might see on a daily basis. *reflective* Plus, kudos to THE INTERNET for all these brilliant reunions! :)

I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow *gasp!* hahahahaha!

Okie dok, my eyelids are getting heavy...my nightcap's on...I'm turning in... ;)
