A Life in Black and White

am not your usual lady in the neighbourhood. i could be fun-loving and ambitions blazing, yet chilling with a good book in hand. loves audrey hepburn movies, lemon-lime-&-bitters, vintage anything and furniture. am not one effortlessly impressed. i see my goals, my dreams and the enjoyment would lie not merely in the success at the end of the road but in this journey of life. livin` it, lovin` it, keepin` it real. i travel alone, i travel light, in my 20`s - la vie est belle!

Wishing upon a star

The Great Singapore Sale (GSS) began last night. And even before the GSS has commenced, I have already spent so much at the GG<5 and M)phosis sales which have so cleverly planned to start before the GSS. On Thursday, R and I made our way down to the L'oreal Sale at Winsland House. We should have gone on Day 1 with GA, instead of Day 2 and final day on Thursday when most of the items were already totally wiped out. The queues on both days were looong, and the door people were a bit bitchy, and squeezing through the counters would have meant that I might have lost weight haha...finally R bought re-supplies of our skincare...

The M)phosis sale (which always reminds me of Felle - coz we used to always update each other about it years back) was pretty good as always with their stock being slashed between 50% ~ 70%. And I picked up a few nice pieces at unbelieveable prices!

I am determined to stop spending money for the next few months leading up to July...because this is what I got in my mail last night :(

Can I just say, I especially always cringe whenever I read the phrase at the end of the assessment - "Thank you for your contribution towards nation building"...

"It's surprising how many persons go through life without ever recognizing that their feelings toward other people are largely determined by their feelings toward themselves, and if you're not comfortable within yourself, you can't be comfortable with others." - Sydney J. Harris
