Will never forget the day D formally asked. :) Despite my weak stomach and horrid urge to puke during the journey to the beach, the immaculately tealight-lit beach walk took my breath away! Thanks dear for the wonderful memory, the lovely chocs which I can't yet bear to savour, and the beautiful bouquet now sitting diagonally to my desk.

Seated here in front of my laptop typing away into the night. I'm sniffing away all thanks to my dreadful cold. Popped my cold tablets and clearing up some stuff before putting on my nightcap. I felt this compelling feeling to update my blog earlier in the afternoon but didn't due to unforeseen commitments and now, I'm at a loss for words. Inspiration - it's indeed one of those things that simply passes one by.

It's been a lavender day for me. A nice rush. A lavender coloured day...

I met someone today who almost brought tears to my eyes. Took the words out of my mouth in a minute and truly I was overwhelmed. Maybe I need to go for confession to move out of my safety box.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm like a mess, but an organised mess. Everything and anything around me all at once. One moment I'm communicating to my partner, another I'm juggling a phonecall with my florist etc, and in another twist of time, I'm avoiding calls from persistent individuals whom I've chosen to ignore as a result of having moved on. I do miss my childlike innocence. Life gets too complex for my liking. Perhaps, I made it all out to be?

My lil piece of haven and myself had a little sampling of Goodwood Park's durian mooncake and 'piglets' washed down with splashes of Gralyn's Reisling (From Margaret River, WA Vintage 2003). It was nice. The two of us. Talking about life, men, everything. I love spending time with my lil piece of haven. I always feel as though I can speak of anything in the world, under the sun and beyond my dreams. That's one of the best feelings ever. It's priceless. So, babe, come back quick from New York! ;)

all's a blank

I'd like to help, but there are times when I feel helpless myself. And there's always a limit to helping someone. There's only a certain number of times when I can say this much. Some people geddit, some people never do. Has anyone ever felt that they have gone beyond what they have set out to do?

I know it's easier said than done, but some people should think before they act, and think even harder before they speak. People tend to be careless when tired, but then again, who isn't tired from work, from family commitments and what-nots? It's no excuse isn't it?

Ugh. I hate going on. So this shall stop.

DX2 night

Just got back from the Autumn / Winter Gas Jeans show at DX2 with my lil piece of haven. After a long looong wait which seemed like forever, we saw the launch of the new collection which was in a word, interesting.

There was a lucky draw and I was drawn for the first prize! What were the odds of that? Had a nice vodka drink, then headed off to the Chocolate bar for fondue. :)

Well, yet again, I've come to the same old conclusion that our island is way too tiny! Just a night out for the show and we saw tons of people from eons back. Familiar faces all around, some good, some could be better. Hmm...

Shanghai typhoon

Just got back home safely from Shanghai today. Slightly still in shock though. If you guys heard about the typhoon in Eastern China, that about sums it all up. We hurried to the Pudong International airport only to be informed that all flights back home had been cancelled due to the typhoon warning - Shanghai was on high alert. Airport was in a mess. We had to check into a seedy motel nearby to wait out the night. Lucky for us, early next dawn, we rushed back out into the airport and fortunately managed to get ourselves onto the first flight out of the country and back home. Flights were expectedly delayed but the main thing is: I'm home safe and sound, in one piece. Otherwise, my Shanghai trip was all good, and all fun. Waited more than an hour for airport transfers both ways (which I'm definitely going to complain on tomorrow)...that's probably about it. Hmm, thinking back, for a moment there, I was worried that I'd be stuck in Shanghai for the rest of the week. Or worse, that I might not live through the typhoon. Anyway, god bless, and I'm going to rest for the night now.

A day has only 24 hours

A moment's silence for the victims of the hurricane in New Orleons...

My week has been packed like a can of sardines...just got back from Bintan Lagoon over the weekend with my crazy bunch of colleagues...had an amazing BBQ spread, did tons of stuff like playing pool, table tennis, bridge, driving the buggy around etcetera... :)

Went home & decor shopping...I finally couldn't contain myself and bought this lamp and wine rack...reckon I can fit them all in?



Just got back from The Scarlett with RC and GA - Elle Mag's Luxe Evening...Moet Champagne (love it!), Godiva chocs (divine!), and the fall collection of Kenzo was all so dreamy!



Flying off to Shanghai tomorrow midnight...I've yet to pack!!! C`yall next week! ;)
