A Life in Black and White

am not your usual lady in the neighbourhood. i could be fun-loving and ambitions blazing, yet chilling with a good book in hand. loves audrey hepburn movies, lemon-lime-&-bitters, vintage anything and furniture. am not one effortlessly impressed. i see my goals, my dreams and the enjoyment would lie not merely in the success at the end of the road but in this journey of life. livin` it, lovin` it, keepin` it real. i travel alone, i travel light, in my 20`s - la vie est belle!

Rules of the game:

1. Post 5 weird/random stuff abt yourself.

2. At the end, list the names of 5 ppl who you want next to this and leave a comment "YOU ARE TAGGED" in their blogs and tell them to read your blog for rules! Weird / Random Stuff about myself.

I'm always observant when it comes to numbers. Numbers like interesting mobile numbers, house numbers, dates everything seem to interest and amuse me. How weird, I know. Hmm, perhaps that explains why I'm in the line that I am in.

I really do not like obnoxious people who think the world of themselves! I just don't....

I've found my purpose in life. I never thought I would. But I have. And life seems a whole lot brighter and cheery now that I have! :) The last couple of years have been trying but I never once looked back in past and I really can't stomach people who consistently judge me. We all have skeletons in our closet, it's up to you to learn from it or to build a bigger closet.

Even though I don't look like I enjoy my own time, I do. Time alone and personal space is a lot more valuable than people think. I relish just being on my own at times and just reflecting and chilling. It keeps me sane.

I like to stack my things in a certain way. Sometimes in life, the more uncertainty we face, some people get beaten down but other people look at it positively and take it all on as a challenge. I'm the latter and I always think that life is only as complex as you make it out to be.

and the gd old times

Met up with Ayami after more than a year! :) Only then did I realise that I've missed her much!! There, the 4 of us sat slumped in her smoke-filled room reminiscing our past together. It's true how going through shit brings people together and that's how we all bonded...

You Are Confident Sexy

You're one sexy chica, and you know it.
You've got the confidence to strut your stuff...
And approach any man who happens to catch your eye.
You may make a guy run away, but the true men will appreciate your moxie.

Christmas shopping!

Started off the morning early...went for a theme tour with my lil piece of haven, followed up by an interesting lunch at the all-new Wisma food court (after the reno works, wow!)...after which I was supposed to finish up bits and pieces of my Christmas shopping, only to be sidetracked by alluring sales! Finally, got a few gifts done up, with one or two to go... :)

So, let's see what was the damage? I bought a black G2000 shirt for work, a French Connection pink cardigan, received my very first X'mas gift (!), couple of other gifts for friends and we stopped by the Club 21 sale...amazing! We picked up 2 Calvin Klein tees and a belt for approximately S$150. Oh yep, stopped by the Victoria's Secret clearance sale late in the night, picked up a couple more items, and finally, I picked on cake and wedges at the Book Cafe with Sher & my lil piece of haven...

2.5 hours of sleep to go...I'm feeling a high tho, even got the X'mas songs uploaded into my Ipod mini and my blog ;)

Did I mention - I absolutely love X'mas!

ripped off Jo's blog

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to good manners and elegance.

In love, you feel the most alive when your partner is patient and never willing to give up on you.

You'd like to your lover to think you are optimistic and happy.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was insecure and in constant need of reassurance.

Your ideal relationship is comforting. You crave a relationship where you always feel warmth and love.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something that will confine you. You are afraid of marriage.

In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily.

You guys should give this a try. It is all too true. Well, almost 98% of it is for me anyway. Go figure.

to say; language coded with bubbles

I have been so out of the news that I just discovered that TT is coming back for a reunion tour - gosh I'm really old! It's been almost a decade...I can still recall all those songs, all those MTVs, and all those late nights in Eastern Europe. :)

Did a spot of internet shopping and I'm happy - I bought a wrist bag for lil nights out, and My Immortal cleverly remembered my ring to match! :) Thanks babe!...I think shopping releases happy endorphins...mmm I hate to say but I have to start watching my wallet before I burn a big hole and I can't save for next year anymore! :) All my big plans and all my holidays lining up with each passing day...

I'm constantly reminding myself that I'll get through these couple of weeks. I feel so stretched! My Immortal's going for the soccer friendly tomorrow at the stadium and I'm still thinking if I can make it...and the Standard Chartered Bank run is on sunday morning - my dad's running again...sometimes I think to myself, am I in the right line? I love my firm, I like my job scope but when I think of art, fashion, design - the excitement, my passions...I digress. All the fashion shows etc, I could definitely get used to them. Long hours? Second nature to me now...See, this is me dreaming away...

O well, movies over the weekend anyone? ;) Looking forward to brekkie with my lil piece of haven in some more hours...

food for thought

When the media gets into the way of things, it can be all too frustrating. How much can one put aside? I guess in life it's all about one's priorities, when people's priorities don't entirely converge, the differences can be unbearable at times. Here, person X has a priority being money, there, person Y has a priority being leisure time including TV etc, and somewhere else, person Z has a priority being lifestyles like cars and so forth.

Should one pull the stops? In fact, how does one pull the stops?
